For the last 2 years, I've been entering photos of my cats reading to a fundraiser for literacy in New Haven, CT. If you fundraise enough $, your photo is in a calendar. Fred and Ginger have been in, so this year, Sir Ernest Shackleton has a photo. I saw that things were bleak and they didn't have 12 entries so I entered Fred. Literacy is really important so I don't mind making a donation. My daughter has a friend who gets upset because my daughter's fundraising is fire*, and she isn't the # 1. This year, my daughter took the photo for her friend and is fundraising for her dog's photo. They are in first place now. Ah, there are now 13 entries! It's okay if Fred doesn't make it in the calendar, he's been there, done that.
