@garrynkim Yes, that butterfly is a painted Lady that I raised from a teeny caterpillar and released. I bring them out and place them, hurry the heck up and take the photo. They are usually quite compliant about having their photo taken. Thank you. The beach willows, or whatever they're called is the 2nd photo. I often place one on my nose for a selfie too. I can't wait to raise more. @ScrappyHappy82 Thank you so much! @IntenseMagic Thank you very much. This page was fun to make. @Angela Toucan Thank you very much!
You can get the caterpillars from Amazon or the source, Insectlore.com https://www.insectlore.com/
My inner child loves doing this but I have to hide them from the cats. I ordered 10 milkweed plants from a local mom and pop nursery, I have big plans in my garden.
Beautiful capture of the butterfly and great work on that out of bounds extraction. Love the unusual framing with the leaves (at first glance it said dinosaur museum - what is that?) Wonderful textures and depth captured here.
@kirstiegai Thank you so much. Those are some sort of beach plant that I would tell you what it was if I wasn't having a mental pause at the moment. You know, the post menopausal mental pause. It's all over the place here in CT. @elseepe Thank you so much!
