Journaling:
"When we were first driving around Edinburgh, Scotland on the
coach, it was raining. The city had places cordoned off due
to the Garden Party being held in Holyrood Palace later on in the
afternoon. Thankfully the weather cleared up around noon.
Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip
held a garden party in Edinburgh, Scotland on July 4, for local
volunteers and council employees. Each year the royal couple holds
the Royal Garden Party in The Palace of Holyrood House"
Goodness, Christa, I thought you were invited to a Garden Party by Her Majesty, John's Grandmother was invited to one in Buckingham Palace. It is quite the honour to be on the list. She ran the British Restaurant during the war, I was wondering what you did to be invited
@zinzilah LOL So funny Olga. It was so much fun to see every one in their hats and dresses and tails. I really wish we were invited but instead enjoyed our afternoon walking in Edinburgh. Love it there, but passing by Holyrood Palace with all the cars trying to get in, it was crazy! Great day!! That is awesome re John's Grandmother. What a great honor!
I love the raindrops on the window... really makes you feel the weather that day! Beautifully scrapped page, Christa! Thanks for playing along with the photography challenge this month!
This is too cute! I love how you have the umbrella providing shelter for the rest of the layout. I also love the realistic rain splatters from the lens of your camera and how they work in conjunction with the raindrop elements up above. The whole thing came together beautifully.
