Wendy and I have been friends since Freshman year at Lafayette College. We both arrived a few days before classes started for Choir weekend which is where we met. We were part of a “friend group” of six who all met that weekend and all joined the same sorority, Sigma Kappa. We were roommates Sophomore year which is when we really got to be good friends. What a year we had! We stayed close during college and have kept in touch over the years, trying to see each other at least once a year as we’ve never lived in the same geographic location. I am Godmother to her son Gavin which is such an honor. It is so comforting to have a friend who has known me -- as well as my husband and daughter -- for so long. We still have a lot in common, such as reading, scrapbooking, and our love for spending time at the beach in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. The photos above span a period of thirty-six years from Senior year on the porch of the sorority house before a dance to my daughter’s wedding day. I hope we will be friends for the rest of our lives.
