Journal in English: A little sweet treat while waiting for my friends who haven't arrived yet (but of course I bought one for Dong too, for later).
It has several names depending on the region but here it is Oobanyaki. Very often sold at festivals.
It’s a kind of filled waffle. The classic version has red bean paste (azuki) in it but as I don't like it I chose chocolate custard. It was delicious and a little warmth in this cold wind felt good.
One of the beautiful old houses in the neighborhood had opened its beautiful garden to the public and to flea market sellers. A feast for the eyes and it almost made you forget the freezing wind that was blowing that day.
