Description
Most time when I go to my mom's house, I take a picture of "Stumpy" usually when I am gardening for her. I see a face in Stumpy and at this time of year it's safer to go closer to Stumpy as the poison ivy is all dead. I have a love of little details so my pictures are of the fungus and leaves.
It's cold here but winter hasn't arrived officially yet.
Also, I haven't left the house even to get the mail for 12 days. our covid tests came back negative!!
I took these pictures today.
I used Lynn Grieveson's kit call Botanical Mix Shivering

Wonderful photos. I love a close up look at the details. Those leaves in the big photo are amazing. Lovely layout.

@flowersgal Thank you. I would have preferred a snowy winter land scene but that's okay, the snow will come eventually. My buddy Stumpy is there still.

Aaargh...even dead poison ivy is deadly. Beautiful nature images here and I love the back story you also wrote. I love people's lives.

@cookingmylife Oh no kidding, poison ivy isn't something to mess with. I was at least 5 feet away from my buddy, Stumpy. Stumpy isn't wearing a mask either. Oh no. I better not get any ideas. I'm too busy for that. Thank you.
@Angela Toucan Thank you. I have a tiny backyard. My mom has so much nature around her and animal life. I love the chipmunks.

I love crunchy dried leaves...their brown color too, I find beautiful. The textures in a stump, mushrooms and dried leaves....whats not to love??

Very good news. Love the closeup and the fact that you named the "tree" Stumpy" makes me smile. This LO is so touchable!
