Gosh, so...I am at a loss of words. On one hand, yes, funny picture...made me laugh. On the other, I read your journaling and I do feel a sense of sadness that old ways are going away. And, I'm a PETA fan. But, everything in moderation. And, I don't speak in knowledge, I speak in my own thoughts and feelings without facts. I just think it is easy to jump to conclusions and start telling people what do to and how to do it. But in doing that, we loose much of the past. How do we keep what is good from the old ways, but modernize too?
@ArmyGrl I feel the same way as you. We were sorry to see the cattle drive end, it's part of the history where I live. When I first started coming to town, we had wooden sidewalks and no one took a second look if you had your spurs on. Now we have Walmart and Staples and Millennials. Sometimes I am grateful for our new ways and other times I long for the old. I have no idea how we balance the two.
That pic is great, that horse actually looks like he/she is laughing. But obviously not at the expense of the other horse, just having a good time. Great magazine spread, and I too, am sad for the end of the era. (P.S. I'm a vegetarian for kindness reasons, and this does not upset me.)
@ArmyGrl & @mcurtt I just have to say how delightful it is that here we can disagree without being disagreeable. In today's world it seems different views cause all sorts of terrible things. So thank you both. It gives me hope.
