This page may end up being a title page or intro about our trip to Venice. It's much more fun than anything I've created so far. I have no idea what the Venetians called these Santa decorations but we named them "rappelling Santas" after we found them on every island we visited. I must have taken photos of 30 or more different ones. My husband defintely tired of stopping for "just one more".

Lol my very not Italian in laws have a 'Santa on a rope'as I call him (like 'soap on a rope') & he's the only one of that kind I've seen, so I love that you saw so many & the template you picked looks great for your trip cover!
Love this graphic page! I would be looking for a rappelling Santa in shops if I was there... I can't imagine how people in the US would react to that cool decoration! Beautiful page and pics!
Sounds like my husband LOL! This really is so beautifully done. I love the graphic feel to your page and your use of the arch photo in the center really draws the eye right in. Love!
@norton94 We did check a few shops for rappelling Santas but we kept me from buying one. The power, the plug, the fact that my urban condo HOA prohibits outdoor decorations & the fact that we only found one all kept me from bringing one home. I simply can't understand why they haven't overtaken the market in the US at least for a year or two.
@JenEm Thank you. I chose the Bridge of Sighs for just that purpose. It was tricky to think about cropping into triangles. I had never done that before. I was only right on first guess about the Santa, mostly because most of the ones I photographed were in a vertical format. Easy to pull the only horizontal photo. None of the other three appeared in the spot where I thought they would work. My mind sees it now but who knows when I'll use a template like this again. I may have to learn it again.
