oh man - what is it with engineers and toys like this!? (joking, not joking) - if you need to build a whole set of shelves for every colour filament under the sun and then hack the machine code to get it to run quieter and faster etc, i'm writing a 12 step plan for my DH who has become addicted to his creality thing, let me know if you're interested, mmkay ;P i will say it has come in handy for some things like extending the feet or clamp things for the kick plates when we built the kitchen, and DD has also used one of them at uni b/c the Education faulty had an assignemnt to basically justify the expenditure on the Engineering Dept's Makers Space)
(DH's first print i think was the waving happy cat in white but that purple one with the whole triangle geo backgrd you have here is super cool)
@bellbird You crack me up! I haven't even gotten the thing out of the box yet since my friend is here this weekend for a scrappy weekend and I had to clean and stuff. Lol. I'm going to bust it out and start watching videos on how to get it to work. Good to know that you hubby has the same brand... I'll know who to ask for help if I need it.
@Karen yes, watch a video and then do something is his method as well, 'worked for our kitchen' he reminds me but i keep reminding him there's limits to that, PhD or not, i won't let him attempt to fly a plane or perform surgery!
How fun, Karen! I love learning new things too and can't wait to see what you're going to make! For Christmas my son (engineer ;D) 3D printed for me a model of the dwarf planet Ceres because it was visited during the Dawn Mission (get it? ).
