Hi. I have six children. Five boys and one girl. The boys are all married now and have moved away. And that has been really hard for us. We miss them and the grandchildren. Only one lives close enough for us to visit and do things with and he is a 40 minute drive from our home. Our daughter is still at home with us. She has a lot of health issues that will keep her here with us for a while. No repeats of first names, but several of the boys were named after my Dad for their middle names. We are actually missing one of the grandsons in that photo. He was on a mission for our Church. But the second grandchild is holding a paper with his name on it showing where he would be standing in the line. All the kids are lined up from the oldest to the youngest. Our tallest grandson is I think 6 foot 7 inches tall or close to it. Three grandkids will get married this year. And one of them will have an instant family which will make me a great grandma on his wedding day.
Wow! What a blessing! 27 beautiful grand babies! I so love this picture of them all together and how you've "framed" it with paper strips on the top and bottom of the page and with buttons. The repeat of the plaid creates a wonderful cohesiveness too! But most of all I love your journaling. The description of the feeling that fills you is just...beautiful and real. Lovely!
