Knit, crochet, cross stitch, quilt,needlepoint,weave, spin, embroidery, sew, anything with thread and I’m doing it.
I love fabric,color and putting things together. For fun or for work.
My mother didn't sew but my aunt who lived next door had a sewing machine.
Starting with doll clothes and progressing to sewing my own clothes
when I was 11 years old and I then made it into a job.
After 38 years doing needlepoint finishing for a local shop
I retired last year. This is my sewing studio looking all cleaned up! Now I can
dig into that stash of fabrics I have been collecting.
Years ago there was a local yarn shop named Threadbenders. I loved
that name and wanted to use it but still make it my own. Jungle seemed
appropriate. There were definitely times when I felt lost in my jungle
of threads. I wasn't sure if I'd ever untangle all the threads I had going.
