Oh my goodness! At first look I just love your cool magenta hair, but then reading your journaling, it's just crazy to think that you were days from a heart attack here and how that completely changes the perspective of looking at these pictures. Wow! I can't even imagine how it feels to wake up and not remember that you had colored your hair like this or remember much for weeks of your life. How scary! I pray that you are better now and your heart is healthier. You've captured SO much more than your cool hair here and I love it! Thanks for sharing!

@Karen thank you. Cardiac arrests and heart attacks are very different things. Heart attacks are about lack of blood flow (like a plumbing issue). Cardiac arrests are the electrical part of the heart. My heart has a cardiac condition where it beats so extremely fast that it just quivers like jello. A completely ineffective beat, so no oxygenated blood goes to the brain causing an anoxic brain injury. My cardiac condition, long qt is genetic, I was born with it, but was undiagnosed until the cardiac arrests.

@Firstoscartgrouch Geez! I should know that because arrhythmia runs in my family too. My Dad had the same thing happen to him and still has probably where his heart goes into a-fib. He still calls it his heart attack. Lol. I blame him for the mis-speaking. Hope yours is under control now that you know about it! :)

@Karen mine is very controlled with meds,I haven't needed my implantable defibrillator since treatment began. My daughter is having runs of arrythmias though. We are waiting on funding to go to Mayo Clinic for her to get an operation in her heart. Hope your dad is being compliant with meds. My mom wasn't and collapsed before Christmas. She is having a hard time.

@Firstoscartgrouch I'm glad meds are working for you. Sorry to hear about your mom and daughter! I hope they both find a course of treatment too! My Dad is doing really well with meds too, although he does have times of a-fib on occasion still.
