I've had this LO forming in my mind for several weeks....and then Art Journaling Challenge happened and motivated me to move it to paper.
I call this the "Dark Side of a Woman's Mind." As women, we are amazing, strong, soft, versatile, force to be reckoned with and loving. We can carry the weight of the world on our shoulders and yet our spouses/significant others/children never know everything that is crammed into every little corner and recess of our being. We are experts at reflecting "all is good." The dark side of a woman's mind is where our struggles occur and sometimes they occur silently.
This layout depicts what I feel is the most common "darkness" that women battle with: stress/anxiety, negative thoughts/poor self esteem, & utter exhaustion (not just physical, but mental/emotional exhaustion). I made this one LO as each woman is one and sometimes we have 5 million things happening as just one person. The top of the page is darker to represent the struggles that are real. The bottom part is lighter and is a reflection of the true essence of our being that radiates goodness, love and hope to our families and constantly battles our struggles with the hope that our light, will and determination does outshine our darkness.
