We were only with 7 to make a second visit to the Valley of the Kings on this last day, this time to see the tomb of Seti I. In addition to a normal ticket for the valley, which allowed us to visit another 3 tombs, we also had to buy an extra ticket of 1000 Egyptian Pound, converted about 50 euros. That is a lot, but the tomb has just been opened to the public and they want to avoid too many visitors. For us it was also a unique opportunity to see this tomb! It was early in the morning and we were the only ones walking around in the valley. Even the 'trains' did not yet run, so we had to walk to the entrance on foot. Photos by Daniëlle (train), Stefaan (group) and myself.

Beautifully scrapped and how fascinating re the opening of the tombs to the public. I agree the higher priced tickets will keep out the less interested visitors, and make the experience so much better for those willing to pay that for the historical experience. TFS!
