For the January 20: Storytelling challenge

My inanimate object is my B-Lock (stuffed cube toy)

I used Bright Side collab by TLP designers

My Journaling says:
This is my precious B-Lock, pronounced bee-lock.
My mom, Sheryl, sewed it for me as a special lovey
when I was a baby. It was simply a stuffed fabric
cube made from different gingham fabrics. B-Lock
and I were pretty much inseparable. I took it mostly
everywhere and wouldn’t let it out of my sight. Sadly,
B-Lock came to a tragic end, and I really never got
over it. One evening on our acreage, we were having
a bonfire. My dad’s family was over and everyone
was laughing and having a great time, including
my B-Lock and I. Having fun, that is, until I
noticed the pretty flames of the huge bonfire. I don’t
remember what was going through my head at age
2 when this happened, but for some reason, I felt like
B-Lock wanted to go flying hrough the pretty
flames, and I decided to help B-Lock out by giving
him a nice toss right in that direction. Sadly, you
can probably imagine what happened next. B-Lock
definitely did not escape unscathed. In fact, I never
saw B-Lock again. My mom sewed me a fresh new
B-Lock to try to replace the original, but I was
stubborn and wouldn’t accept the imposter B-Lock.
I’ve missed B-Lock ever since, but the memory lives on!

      Such a great memory... sorry about your b-lock but it's amazing that you remember it so vividly. Two of my three kids have a special blanket that they have worn to threads. I've tried to mend and even make new ones, but the impostors are never as good as the original.
