Description
Sadly, part of documenting our years includes sad events. My mother passed away in December of 2016. We all (4 of us siblings) went to Indiana for her funeral on December 5th. This is a picture of the 4 of us at the cemetery, decorating the graves for Christmas. We went out there the day after the funeral and it was SO cold.

these real life moments are some of the hardest but most important things to document to me & i think you did a great job here - i love the decorating the graves idea and how you have used the tree cutouts with so many pretty papers

@bellbird Thanks, Justine. I have ever documented mom's funeral. When I decided to document 2016, I realized I not only needed to, but wanted to. I have some very personal pictures on some Travel Notebook pages, for DYD, but now I'm not sure I want to put them in the gallery. They were freeing, but very emotional for me.
