- One thing about doing these DYD in a certain year, is that it makes you confront some unpleasant events, that are part of your history. I wasn't sure why I chose 2016, but I know now that it was the last year that things were "normal" for my DD and GS. 2016 was a year of great ups and downs. My mom passed away and it was the last year that my DD and her DH were together. Things are pretty acrimonious now and have been since then. That being said, this is part of our story. I have attempted to scrap this page as I felt in 2016, when I took these cute pictures. I remember, I called them "the Santa Hat Pictures".
