This page expands on the theme of personal transformation and growth and change while making use of one of my most favorite creatures: the butterfly. Journaling is scattered here and there in the form of words and phrases. The butterfly emerges as more than just a symbol through the details of the page..products clipped to butterfly shapes that reflect parts of my personal story and journey in life.

I was inspired to create another page rooted in self portraiture. I don’t scrap my own story as often as I should and was happy to embrace AAM scrapping with this prompt.

Clipping masks are one of my favorite tools in photoshop and they help me to customize my digital storytelling. I made use of them here to clip various papers and elements that reflect different aspects of my personal story mosaic from maps to animal images to vintage motifs.

I have echoed the butterfly motif throughout the page in different textures and dimensions (from paint and sketch to paper and element). I have made use of imagery and color to really depict a story through the simple use of shape and design.
