Journaling:
School had just started for the year. After school was over, I spent most afternoons in the blazing sun at marching band practice. The true highlight of this was that I got to see the boy that I liked. His name was Darren and he played the trombone. He was a year behind me in school, but that didn’t bother me.
Whenever we weren’t at school or at band practice, Darren and I spent hours talking to each other on the phone. Our school’s homecoming dance was coming up and I hoped that Darren would ask me to go. One day, I just got tired of waiting. Completely out of character for me, I asked him to the dance! He accepted and told me that he was going to ask me- he just hadn’t yet.
Darren and I had our first date on October 17, 1998. Neither of us could drive yet, so we were driven by our parents. We ate dinner at O’Charley’s and spent the rest of the evening at the homecoming dance. Little did we know that this night was truly the beginning to rest of our lives.
You have this perfect way of combining papers in a kit that just look so soft and lovely and make me want to try!! This is GORGEOUS! I love how you've got the journaling in the middle and the cute little photo in there! Also, how romantic!!!! Great story!
