I've always said that if I could have any superpower, I would want to be able to teleport myself anywhere at anytime.
journaling reads: teleporting, apparating, jumping, beaming yourself up, whatever you call it...if I were to be blessed with a superpower tomorrow, thats the one I would want. As a military family, geographical distance from our loved ones is probably THE downside of our lifestyle. Weve often joked in our family about how we wish those who are ridiculously gifted in science and technology would hurry up and create a beam machine already, so the distance between us woulld be irrelevant. And I confess Ive spent many moments daydreaming about the what ifs. What if I could just beam myself over to my moms house so we could enjoy dinner and conversation together? What if my sister and I could meet up with our children at the park for a playdate? What if we could all have a BBQ together on the 4th of July? Or every Sunday? What if I could be there in an instant to hold my grandpas hand as we walk around the pond together? What if we could take our nieces and nephews to the zoo? Or a ballgame? What if when they needed us most we could just pop on over and be there for them? Really be there. What if when we are both feeling lonely on a long separation, David and I could spoon together until we fall asleep? What if Bugga could really spend time with her cousins, with our family? What if they could all really get to know her? Really know her. What if distance didnt matter? What if in an instant, at any time, we could be wherever we wanted to be? If I could. I would. In a heartbeat.
