journaling:TODAY...as I sit here at my laptop and seeing the news with the upcoming Winter Weather advisory, I think about different things. As a child, I can remember getting all “giddy” when we were expecting snow. Now as I am older (much older) and we own our own home, the thought of snow and cold does nothing for me! Yes, I love the look of snow falling, pristine snow once it is done, but after that, I have no use for it. I want to see it out the window, but I do not like to go out in the cold, nor do I like to shovel it. If it can fall just on the grass, stay off the roads & clear up as soon as possible, that is great for me. Driving in it is awful and then with the cold, what melts during the day, freezes overnight. I prefer mild temperatures & weather which is our normal. This is just rare for us.
Never really been a fan...but that might be because my brother made me go out and stand in the 47" of snow we got one winter in 1969 (most snow I've ever seen in the valleys of Oregon)...in my nightgown!!! I was six! I probably wasn't even 47" tall. Love your grid and the squares with the papers and elements...good luck with the storm!

I remember snow on Long Island (NY) when I was a kid too and we would get 3 feet of snow and it was piled higher than I was tall too.. I think the snow was worse then LOL.. I remember the snow was so deep when I was about 10 (1971??) and the main streets were plowed somewhat, but the residential streets were not. The milk man waited at the corner and we had to walk up to the corner to get the milk. Also that same snowstorm, Mom & Dad needed cigarettes and other things from the grocery, so I walked with my Dad up to the store (about a mile away) with the sled and we dragged the sled home with the bags on them LOL.. funny the stories we remember!
Thanks Becky,. I think we will be fine, but annoyed lol.. more freezing ice more than likely as I am near the coastline and the beach so the snow will be a little more North.
