Description
Created for Kim Jensen's August 2025 Layout Re-do Challenge

Original LO used Kim Jensen's Carpe Diem; Melinda Staley Squares and Diagonals Template; Patti Knox shape template; and TopSecret (journaling font)


Re-do LO used Kim Jensen's Wonky, but retained the buttons and brads from Carpe Diem, Melinda's template and Patti's shape template-re-worked. Also, one extra patterned paper from Confection Affection (sprinkles). Changed the font to The Jam by Heather Joyce.

Nice re-do page, love the colorful version. It brings a lot of energy. The design with all the patterned papers is amazing. Thanks for sharing

I love how bright and cheerful the new page is. The first one was calming and charming, the second one really pops.

@Ga_L @littlekiwi @trekmom Thanks for the love! You know how I picked the page to re-do? I just looked for the first mention of Kim Jensen in my credits file! Melinda's template was fun to play with...it takes some fiddling to get the right balance of solid/pattern and density/lightness. It was so much fun to re-work it into color...making it more of a birthday page.

Ooh I love both versions - one more muted and the other one a blast of color!

@umyesh It was so gray at the Coast that weekend, which is why I went the original way, but I really like the colorful one now that I've had a chance to sit with it!

What a fun revamping of your original layout! I love the original, it very much matches the mood of the photo. This new version though is so colorful and fun...it screams birthday celebration! Thanks for playing along!
