I’ve asked myself “why” so many times during this long job search that started way back in October 2015. Why did I not get a response when I sent my application in?, Why is it taking so long? Why am I not getting interviews?, Why did I get rejected?. It’s not just the why but so many other questions as well...Did I make the wrong degree decision all of those years ago?; What did I say or not say in my application? Did a human even see my application & read it? It all adds up to wanting to give up at times but I brush those questions off & keep going because dwelling on what others say or do won’t make this journey any more enjoyable.
Great page Jennifer. I am so sorry you are still continuing on the job search and wish I could help with answers. Just know good thoughts your way as you continue on your journey.
I really love how you scrapped this. The vertical flow and elements and papers are well placed and matched. Lovely photo of you as well. Great page!
The vertical flow, your photo, and the heartfelt journaling are all touching and so true everywhere you look today. You are not alone. My daughter is finding this to be true as well. My stylist's husband was laid off, looking for work and was told that due to AI, his resume didn't get read because it had the wrong wording. He paid someone to go over his resume and after that got interviews. How terrible is that, AI decides who gets an interview and who doesn't? It doesn't make any sense, at all.
Jennifer, you always have such a perfect balance of color & shapes! I love the vertical flow, and the layers of paint and dimensional elements. And the torn photo, such a great addition! Wishing you all the best as you continue your journey, I know it's not easy.
Love the vertical flow to your design and really great introspective journaling. I'm sorry your job search has been filled with disappointment. Sending you positive thoughts.
