- Hi Everyone...
I am happy to say that I managed to get Layout #2 done for these monthly Challenges...Scraplifts are always fun as inspiration...So much so...that I scrapped a REAL photo of Me...actually taken today...Saturday Sept. 14th 2024...I haven't taken a photo of myself for so long...I can't remember the last time...My Dad surprised me with a New! Cell Phone! after I arrived home...I am now in the process of learning how to use it!...But the first thing I wanted to play with was the Camera Function...I had fun with my brother helping me out on how to start using the phone...texting will be interesting to say the least...And I have wanted to take a photo of me now at home to see how much different I look...Photos can be surprising!...I have now lost over 100 pounds since last year when my Beloved Ray passed away...It was gradual...but not intentional either...I had already lost 52 pounds on my own exercising & eating better before I got really sick about 3 years ago...So 52 pounds was back then...I managed to keep it off...The rest is part stress, not being able to eat for periods of time because of my many hospital stays...and some of the medications that I am taking...I was surprised at how I looked...I am not quite right yet with taking the photos yet...but there are many filters & settings to explore...I may try to,down the road, get some online apps. to help me out too...Either way, this layout is filled with some personal milestones of mine...Taking a photo of myself [which I almost never do]...It's a big step for me personally...I don't necessarily love this photo...but with some editing...it was acceptable]...getting a cell phone [didn't think it would happen so soon]...using a vertical line of design [something I like to do...but haven't done for a bit now...And putting the actual date on my layout [something I don't do very often either]...plus adding my Birthday Age to this layout, since my Birthday was just past in August...]...and technically this layout isn't directly about grief [as most of them have been for over a year now...]...I mean those feelings are certainly wrapped up in the WA & the very personal meanings I chose & about my health journey filled with hurdles & difficulties...and I do have some more Grief Layouts I am working on to post at a later time...but this layout...is also about personal progress in my grief stages & my own personal feelings about trying to move on in a more positive way...I never thought I would get here in my feelings & thought processes...But I am also hoping for a better health outcome too...If you read my last layout post in my gallery, about my current health concerns...Things have taken a turn yet again...I have a bad infection, therefore I am in much pain and am slammed with a lot of antibiotics,I have to take...which are very hard on the stomach,too...& this infection,is potentially very dangerous...I have to wait for my MRI appointment at the hospital & back to see my doctor this Friday at the hospital...I am crossing my fingers for a good result...Either way...it means surgery to install a new! drain for me to wear...to clean out the rest of the infection...
Thank You! Everyone! for your ongoing kindnesses & support...It is very much appreciated!!!...
*****The Very Sweet & Beautiful!!! layout I chose to scraplift is : by cinna : Link here : https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/february-24-photography-challenge.562361/
***My layout slants horizontally to the other side of the page...with my own idea of a more subtle...horizontal slant...and a bit more of a moodier Art Journaling Layout...with some hearts too, multiple WA's,just one photo & one frame, black & white photo too...I also chose to pop the red & yellow colors in a more saturated way, since it is Fall here now...& to me...Fall just screams these colors...They are really some of my most favorite colors to scrap with & my favorite time of year too...and very timely to illustrate that this layout was created Today & the Photo of me...is in the Present Now!...She also used the [Hearts] beautifully...as her background [Paint]...[ that's my own interpretation]...So,I used the black paint in my background paper,as my own interpretation of "paint" to create my scraplifted...layout version...with more paints added...as I felt needed...to complete my version of this scraplifted layout...***
