Thank you for looking. This page started at a challenge layout for this month's inspiration challenge - use a game of tic-tac-toe as your inspiration. Tic-tac-toe is a game we use used to play at school during breaks. We'd scribble a simple grid on a piece of paper, and play many times over, often sharing one pencil... as always, I had little idea how the page would turn out to be, but as I was choosing a kit to scrap with and saw these sketches by NBK Design, I immediately felt this was it. The straight lines and the grid of windows, the doodles, the theme of days long gone, the black and white color palette and the silhouette of an elegant well-dressed lady that reminded me of the Head of Academics at our school - a woman with the sternest of face expressions and always impeccably dressed... I know that my page has more to do with the connection between past and present than with tic-tac-toe, so I am not sure it would qualify for the challenge, but I am rather happy with how it turned out.
I love your take on this challenge! It's so creative, off the so-called, 'beaten path'. I don't know if it counts either, but it surely would get my vote.
