Journaling (174 words): "I really connect with myself during the weekday mornings when I do my walking or when I ride 17 miles on my exercise bike. It is the quiet time I like the most. I use that time to think for the most part. Now that I am retired, I really don’t need a lot of “carved out” time for myself as the stress is not the same as it was while working. I find when I am struggling with things, I reach out to my digital scrapping or reading as those activities take me to a different place where I am immersed and closed off from the outside world. It is also a space where I can forget about reality for a bit and get lost in my own thoughts. I usually keep the TV on as noise, but it is like white noise, that I don’t “hear” as it is in the background. Being retired has allowed me to do what I want to do, when I want which is how I connect to myself."

      Lovely page, I like how you blended in some city streets into your background. Yes, digital scrapbooking is a release for me as well, I can get lost in my own little world. Thanks for sharing.
