I thought I had dreams but little by little, reality came crashing down. I honestly dreamed that once I had finished my degree I would immediately be able to move out of home, be independent and work in New Zealand. Then a few years later, travel the world and move to Vancouver B.C. But little by little those dreams became so distant I stopped hoping and dreaming that far into the future. My experience so far has almost “turned me off” having hopes and dreams but I know I should dream a bit rather than live in my reality all of the time which isn’t always positive and at times can be quite depressing. I hope that soon, I can find the desire to have hopes & dreams again, however small they may be..
I am sorry you feel this way, Jennifer. I think we all have times where we let negative thoughts sneak in. My hope for you is that you never stop dreaming, and that you let hope be stronger. You have overcome so many challenges, and are such a source of inspiration to me. Keep hoping and dreaming. Sending love and gentle hugs to you.
