Admitting I needed to use a walking stick at least temporarily was a hard pill to swallow. It came after a number of falls both at home and when I was out that needed an ambulance call out. My next goal is to gain enough confidence, balance and strength to not need to use a walking stick but until then I will keep using it.
I hope you're able to retire your walking stick soon, but glad that it's offering you some stability in the meantime. I love the turquoise, the circular text and the bold title work!
@SeattleSheri I hope so too but for now, safety and security comes first. I am lucky that its not a all the time thing but more of a take it with me when I'm out (it folds up) and if I need it I have it kind of situation.
Safety is key, I can imagine that it's hard to get used to. But you'll be without it sooner than you think. I am not sure if you can do yoga, but I found after my hysterectomy that it was the thing that helped me finally gain balance. You don't have to do all the complicated stuff, but there are some good stretches that help your core strengthen. Love your circular layout and that title is amazing!
@Claire Grantham yes, safety is key hence the decision to get a walking stick temporarily, I was tired of falling and having to get ambulance help at the sum of nearly $100 per time (as its not government funded here at all so there is a part charge)
