This is for the MOC10 Challenge #1: Blind Scrap
Items used:
1. Photo (styles applied)
2. Word Art (It's ok if all you did today was survive)
3. Background paper
4. paper strip (from a spiral notebook)
5. paint splatter (peeking out from photo)
6. premade edge treatment (the edges and the butterfly)
7. corner paper (white, poking out from right, bottom of photo)
8. button
9. brown bag piece (peeking out from left side of photo)
10. premade paint splatter with scribbles (bottom right corner)
This is absolutely stunning! Everything is just so perfectly placed and highlights the vibes of that photo. Great memory of this day, despite the story behind.
Oh, everything about this page drew me in. The design, the photo, the journaling. My heart goes out to you ... I have seen this face and these emotions one too many times on my own child (ok, she's 19, but still) over this past year. I 100% know what it's like to "get through" a birthday or Christmas or other holiday when the excitement and joy just simply aren't there. Proud of you for supporting him and just being there when he needs you, even if that's all he allows you to do for now.
This is so real, and sometimes I feel like scrap pages only tell the good things that happen. I'm sorry that his birthday didn't turn out as expected, but I love that you scrapped it anyway, and your page really conveys the moodiness and reality, while at the same time feels optimistic and positive. Thanks so much for this!
