Last summer Ariana went to walk the dog. This is an every day thing. An every day at 2 p.m. thing. She came back and said, "Mama, Mama, get your camera!" She had found and captured a crayfish! It was so cool looking with its long antennae and beady eyes. I called for Noah to come out to see. He was fascinated and wanted to hold it. So Ariana very gently handed over the crayfish for Noah to hold. He was thrilled and a little freaked out by the tiny claws. When he was finished he gave the crayfish back to Ariana. I took Bear back inside for his after walk slurpies and Ariana took the little crayfish back to the creek to live another day. I had never seen one so close like that! I am so thankful for having a camera on my phone so I can take pictures any time I want to.
