For the June Journaling Challenge - 113 words
We started planning your trip to Boston to attend the Berklee School of Music’s summer Songwriting program a year in advance. Grandparents chipped in with cash for birthdays and Christmas, you got a job to pay your share. Registered, paid, housing arranged, everything was settled. Then the world changed almost overnight.
We held out until the first week of May, and then finally faced that this trip wasn’t going to happen.
So many things about this virus and the world we find ourselves living in right now are hard. This disappointment though, this one was so hard. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
