Journaling:
Let me start off by saying she was an
almost straight “A” student with AP
classes and she had a scholarship
to a great engineering school
after her winning performance on a
math trivia team. Being a mom
of three young kids can sometimes
over ride our brain cells.
She calls and tells me she was
trying to teach her 6 and 5 year
olds about social distancing.
“Mom, I found 6 rulers and laid
them out on the floor”. “This
is how far you need to stay
away from others so that you don’t
spread or get other’s germs”. I
replied, “Why didn’t you just use
a tape measure instead of hunting
down all those rulers?”
She took a second or two and
said “Oh!” It gave me a good
chuckle. She did later tell me,
“A local business gave us a
handful of promotional rulers, so
I just used those.”
Even grown children
can make your day.

Your colors are beautiful, the story funny and heart-warming, and the ruler on here - genius!

What a gorgeous page and lovely family. Enjoyed your journaling and, yes, we can always learn something from others' ideas.

I love this -- especially your use of so many patterned paper. I love patterned paper but often find it hard to use on my pages especially more than one at a time.

That's funny! I love that she had 6 rulers available! The family photos are gorgeous! And I love the measuring tape you included. Thanks for playing in my challenge!

Well, she is a pretty gal. And I would make the argument that the children might be able to conceptualize 6 rulers pretty well! Creative none the less! Ha, ha!
