journaling:
When it became clear that I could no longer work after my serious illness, my husband and I decided to adopt a kitten from the animal rescue service. We chose Liv, who was found injured at the age of 5 months and carelessly thrown into a ditch. So it was now - mainly for me - feeding, playing, cuddling, going to the vet, cleaning the litter box. In the beginning she was very reserved. But that changed quickly. Little by little she explored the house and always found new sleeping places. After 6 months we decided to leave her outside. There was great fear that she would run into the street and be run over. And above all the question - would she always come back? But we quickly learned that Liv comes and goes without leaving. She is always there somehow. In the mornings and afternoons she likes to walk through the garden with me. Then no tree is too high. She really enjoys it. And she is a great hunter. Sometimes she brings home a living mouse. Then we have to "hunt" together. And although we have been on holiday separately since Liv has been with us, it was the best decision. She makes us so happy, rewards us with cuddling and it is just wonderful that she is there.
