I took this trip in 2008 and although I've scrapped individual photos, I've never scrapped them as travel pages. Taking Lynn's class made me think of this trip. It was fun to look back at these photos.
Our DD lived in CS the first couple years they were married, and we visited. This is a wonderful reminder. I lost one of my favorite earrings on the tram to the top of Pike's Peak...but it was worth it. Thank you for jogging my memory of such an incredibly beautiful place. Your layouts are all beautiful.
@SharLamb Thanks so much for your sweet comments, Shar. It's a magnificently beautiful place, that's for sure. I couldn't believe the deep rich rust colors of the mountains. Glad I could bring back some good memories for you.
@mcurtt Thanks, Marilyn. It will be the first page. I'm not sure I can come up with enough pictures for a separate album. I was as sick as I'd ever been when we were out there. They had to take me to ER and I barely made it to the wedding. The doctors said I had "altitude sickness". Luckily, I had a couple of days to recover before we went to see these mountains. I was terrified that I'd get sick again when we went to Pike's Peak, but I was ok. We saw lots of people who got physically sick up there. 14,000 feet is really high! I wish I'd felt like taking more pictures but at least I got these.
