Very evocative! What a wonderful use for this technique. A Close-up photo of your hand(s) holding a mug (or in this case a stock photo) is the perfect illustration to go along with your ‘about me’ (love of hot drinks…’ journaling. However, it is also quite a mundane everyday image. This technique adds so much interest and turns the photo into a work of art. Leaving some of the squares blank has taken it to the next level, again. I love this so much!
