I truly believe having access to a counsellor saved me from being totally “broken”. From going through Mum’& Rod’s divorce, hospital admission anxiety, self worth/self esteem issues and general anxiety and depression tendencies while at university. From those few counselling experiences I now have tools that I use daily to keep those negative self worth and anxiety/depression tendencies at bay. Looking back I wonder now that other people within my family have been diagnosed with depression whether there is family links to me in that regard. Without having gained those tools, I am not sure where I would be now.
