I have made quite a few connections in the Bright Line Eating (BLE) community over the past 6 years, all of them enabled by technology. Without social media, telephones, and Zoom virtual meeting spaces, none of this would be possible. I talk on the phone regularly with two people I went through BLE Bootcamp with in the Fall of 2017 -- we’ve been doing this for over 6 years. I meet weekly with three other women in a BLE Mastermind group on Zoom. We are supporting each other in our food addiction recovery and are getting to know each other. I also attend daily Zoom accountability support calls with anyone in the BLE community who wants to join. The coach takes questions and many of us also connect in the Zoom chat. That’s where I met Laurie and found out she was traveling through Rhode Island. We arranged to meet in person and spent a couple of hours sharing our BLE and food addiction experiences. This support and connection are essential in this journey of weight loss, maintenance and freedom from food cravings. I lost seventy pounds but gained so much more.
