Oh Sheri this is gorgeous! Hubby read that you lower the seat all the way down so he could stand on the ground easily, take the training wheels AND the pedals out and it's so easy. It becomes a balance bike and you start trusting more and more the balance and then you add the pedals but leave the seat down and lastly move the seat up. Good luck!

Love how colourful this is! And love the photos, I'm sure he will master the no-training-wheels bicycle quickly once he gains interest again. Love the cluster work and of course your amazing shadows!
