OK, that is BEYOND COOL! LOVE those photos of the penguins! How did you get those? Next to owls, penguins are some of my favorite birds. Your cluster work is beautiful, and the paint is a fabulous addition. Love your journaling style, too! Brava!

@jazzmatazz we went on a "penguin tour" in tasmania when we went there on holiday - there's no flash photography allowed so these are some of the best i got in lowlight (read: pitch black but with the guides amber torches) while they were wandering in and around the scrub at the beach looking for adults with food (due to the food chain, parents in this area don't always come back from fishing at sea due to seals etc so some of them get orphaned and then have to try and 'trick' others that return into thinking they are their offspring just to get a share of the food until they are big enough to swim out and fish for themselves - they're apparently also not good at knowing where to come ashore and it can take them a while to wander home at dusk but they can amble for hundreds to thousands of metres back to their dunes in the shrubs - so this area is meant to be feral cat free as it's a penguin conservation area) - hope i didn't just bore you with all that but i like little penguins too ;)

@bellbird It didn't bore me at all! It is fascinating! Oh what I wouldn't give for such an opportunity! And I think those photos are amazing given the poor lighting conditions. Bravissima!

Justine, your page and lift of Dawn's layout is absolutely amazing!! I would love to see penguins up close and personal like you did. Those photos are gorgeous and your whole page is "so Dawn". :beat:beat:beat

Oh how sweet Justine.. These little fuzzy penguins are the cutest! Great scraplift of Dawn's page. I love how you used Dawn's illustrated Penguin, the stapled leaf and paints.. so beautifully done! I loved reading the response to Tracy re the penguin and how you captured the photos.. exquisite my dear! Thank you for playing along with the scraplift challenge. I know Dawn would have loved seeing your Penguin photos! Hugs!
