All About our Tree & the Ornaments

Description

I took all these photos Christmas eve, reflecting how our family has grown to be a family. Not perfect, but we care about each other. There are roots put down, and a foundation to build on now. Thank you Lori, for your challenge, it so helped me put it all together!

JOURNALING: This year we had two trees. One was our grown up tree. the other is the family tree, decorated by the kids only. It is all their handmade ornamaents. This year, there was an ornament for each child with their photo on it. They love seeing their own ornamentsfront and center on the tree. The tree is filled with so many memories. It sia ll about the ornament and where they place them. December 2014

I started with one of Yin's freebie templates (love her double pages filled with room for lots of photos).

Anne - totally love the little details and the journaling! The kids will treasure it so!. Heck - I even love the first few lines you wrote here 'I took all these photos Christmas eve, reflecting how our family has grown to be a family. Not perfect, but we care about each other. There are roots put down, and a foundation to build on now.' love the way you've described your family as a tree...wish I had your way with words :)

Great DP Anne, that's awesome to have too trees for Christmas.
congrats for the Froggy Fav

Anne, this is just wonderful! What a wonderful thing for your family and how special! I love how you documented it & how your journaling really gives the back story of two trees - and how fab is it to have two trees?!?!
When I read this << I took all these photos Christmas eve, reflecting how our family has grown to be a family. Not perfect, but we care about each other. There are roots put down, and a foundation to build on now.>>, I immediately thought "there is some awesome journaling right there!" :) Thanks for participating and sharing!

STUNNING!! Love the many photos and the use of the background photo. This page ROCKS!

You have such a great family. Never a dull moment I bet. Love that you have two trees. Makes up for the lack on one we had this year. ;) Love the two page spread as well & large photo!

gorgeous layout. colors, lights, your beautiful trees and embellishments. love it!!

What a beautiful layout, AnneofAlamo! I love the full-page photo of your tree, and the way your photographs seem to just spill across the page. Your journaling captures the tradition as well as your love for your kids. :)

this is just fascinating, so many things to keep your eye busy, the roll of the seemingly open double page, the flow of the elements - I love it all!
