I have several usernames floating around – my personal email, my uni email that I use for job hunting, various usernames for job hunting websites but the username that has a real story to it is my scrapbooking username.

The first scrapbooking forum that I joined was Pick of the Patch approximately 12 years ago where my mum was also a member. Her username was kiwicanuck as she’s a Canadian (canuck) living in New Zealand (kiwi). I decided since I was her daughter I would become littlekiwi. It meant that every forum we joined together people knew that we were related. As I joined other scrapbooking forums without my mum – 2peas, SSD, TLP, TDP to name a few, I kept the username because it was so unique and it identified me immediately as living in New Zealand. I don’t think I will ever change as I’ve become so attached to it now and feel it is so ‘me’.
