Journaling: Mr. Wolnerman was featured in The Des Moines Register just after your book was released. In the article for the paper, they quoted you and spoke about your book. USA Today picked up the story, which caught the eye of someone in politics in D.C. They asked Congressman Young about you since you are his constituent. He asked Will Rogers if he knew you, because they wanted to recognize you in Congress with a Tribute in front of the U.S. House of Representatives. Will told Dad and me, but said to keep it a surprise. You knew nothing of it until this very official-looking envelope arrived several days later on May 4, 2015. It arrived at the front door, and I spotting it after work. It was so hard to wait for you to get home from school. This was really quite a unique honor at 12 years old... a fact not lost on you as you squealed when you realized what you were reading! You are now noted in the permanent Congressional record which is listed in the Library of Congress. You can show your grand-kids someday!

wow! this is such an honour, I am sure she was well deserving and suitable impressed at being honoured. And at such a young age! Superb! Definitely a keeper ;) Love the strip of bold paper you added beneath the photos, gives a touch of fun to the very serious looking page about it.

How AWESOME!  What an amazing accomplishment at such a young age!  And I, too, love that you've added the QR code into your layout so seamlessly!

That is so freaking fantastic!!!!! How totally exciting. It gave me goosebumps reading your journaling. Be proud, mom, you have an amazing girl there!
And I just had to add...
YOUR PAGE IS A FROGGY FAV!!!

This is such a beautiful page - so crisp and clean with the red and blue against the white - and so deserving of the Froggy Fav. And congrats to your daughter on such an amazing accomplishment!

I say what I usually say: I so wish you scrapped more, your pages are ALWAYS a delight for the eyes and for the heart, and even more so in a subject like this, I can imagine how proud you are of her...and that shows the kind of parents you guys are I do know there are some kids who go the wrong way despite having the best parents....but 90% of the cases, is the love, good education and hard work of parents which determines the character of the child ....and I am 100% sure this is the case  :) Sarita went Inter Railing in Europe and they went to Krakow, made a trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau and told me she remembered your daughter and together with tears of sadness to what she was seeing was the joy of knowing some people in the world are doing a good work to make sure the human race does not forget...... she is beautiful, love the photos and how superbly composed the page is, the bits of paper coming out from behind of the photos call the eye to them, LOVE that you included the video code (would I have thought 30 years ago that we would be able to do something like this? LOVE technology!!!!) the background paper you chose is perfect (once again , gives more emphasis to the photo and subject) and I am DELIGHT that you shared the journaling transcribed in case we couldn't read it..... sometimes when am on GSO rounds, I see so many pages which would mean so much more if we knew what was going on.....Awesome, amazing page, sorry am a bit late and had not seen this before, I have also noted I need to write to you as Sarita wanted the book, every time am about to do it something else happens...such the life of a forgetful old woman LOL- Congratulations, Mazel-Tov or, like my mum would say Mahbruk!!!!![IMG]
