#het zwin - one of the most famous nature reserves in Belgium. We followed the Zwinduinen and Polders walking route. Due to the daily influence of the salty seawater, the Zwin plain has an extraordinary fauna and flora that can hardly be found elsewhere on the Belgian coast. The salt water creates very special conditions and creates a unique biotope: the mud flats and salt marshes.
