a bit of history about how I am always reluctant to get on with new technology, but always end up giving in (and in most loving it!) with gorgeous doodles by Kate Hadfield:Bookworms-also inspired by Sara Gleason: Shasta Templates - journaling reads: as much as I love technology, I think that apart from the color TV thing, I have always been reluctant to accept new devices. I have still very alive in my memory how annoyed I was with devices in music, the whole thing that seemed to make musicians almost un- necessary, and how annoyed I was when the walkman came into fashion. It was the same with computers & same with every other device as far as I can remember, so needless to say, I swore & shouted I would never give up on books, and I actually have not, but the reality of it all downed when we were going to Turkey in 2011- Tomas Cook's flights give you only 15 kilos and even with paying an extra 10, paper books are heavy and the way I read when I\'m away from the computer would take as much in books so I made my mind up- We had lots of Nectar points and I had just heard that one can go into Argos, have the Nectar card read at the tills & guess what? I had enough points for the KIndle!!!! I paid around #30 for a 5 years insurance and that was it!!! I have to admit it has been a blessing The one thing I\'m always thinking about is that it makes me spend money on books, though there are lots of free books, & I have a top price of #1.99, at the local library the books are free... there is the fact that I was always late on giving the books back so , in the bigger picture, paying for books may come at same cost of what I payed in fines, so not a bad deal! TFL!
I was the same with the whole idea of getting an e-reader, until I tried one and then I never looked back! I get annoyed now when I book I want to read isn't avaialbel in Kindle format!! Super page, I love your composition here and the big block of journalling at an angle!
