Love the journaling, great storytelling, and love the photo from behind. This is the perfect page and if Cristina hadn't put you forward for a Froggy Fave, I was definitely going to!
What a walk down memory lane and gazing into the future! It's hard when we're wrapped up in the kids' activity of choice and then they move on and we're left with just the memories. Any chance she'll be moving on to playing college ball? Love the image from behind. So fitting.
I always love this perspective on a photo, lovely journaling. And that nostalgic word art is kind of perfect. Was feeling that a bit as it was my daughter's 34th birthday Saturday.
@scrapchyck@trekmom she's not going to play in college- unless maybe intramural or a club team. She will graduate high school with her AA degree so she was pretty realistic on where she would play if she wanted to & didnt need another AA degree. Thanks everyone for your kind words!
Amazing Amie! I love your page - the photo perspective, the journaling the AJ vibes. It's fantastic!
fwiw - my bestie's DD played soccer and decided not to play in college for the similar reasons (she was not going to go where she would have offers - or stay with a JC to play - it was time to focus on career and graduating). Her teammates were surprised she showed no interest. She went on to college to a D3 school (for what she wanted for environment/size and programming for her academics) and on a whim decided to try out for fun - well she ended up being a starter and played all through college and loved it all. She loved having a team again. They had so much fun and opportunities to play in Europe and fun tournaments. So depending on where she is headed... LOL. It's not scholarships, but if she wants to play, it's softball - if that is appealing at all?
