Great take on the challenge Marilyn! I love the journal style book you made and how fun you stayed at the NY NY hotel. I remember when they first added that hotel. I think they opened it around the time we were staying at the MGM across from it, in 1997 and we went over to see the fun hotel. I love the washi tape and stitching along with the stacked cluster of the NY NY photo. Beautiful page TFS!

Thanks, Christa. Mom took us kids and spouses on a family trip there in October 1997. I have a photo of the Statue of Liberty, so that portion was built, but I don't think that the hotel was done??? We went to see David Cassidy ar MGM Grand! Small world!

So much has changed! So much growth.

Oh my goodness we saw David Cassidy in the FX show too! We were there for a convention my hubby had and stayed at the MGM.. the MGM had a theme park behind the hotel and the convention rented it out one night while we were there so we had the place in the back to ourselves. Once NYNY was finished and busy, I think was why MGM got rid of it. We saw the Statue of Liberty and the Roller Coaster and went there to have lunch there I think.

I just looked at the collage from that I have on my family room wall with all the memorabilia and it was March 25 1997!

How fun!

Definitely fun! And I had to check my photos to confirm the dates we were there. :cool:

I love that you used washi tape, I was thinking of doing that, but then decided to find a kit with patterned paper with a bit of a theme. I also love that you adapted the idea for the size of paper you use! So clever and just a wonderful page!

Thanks, Becky! Yep, I'm used to adapting. I've never done square layouts. :-)
