I have been sorting through the piles of unknown things , long forgotten that have accumulated over the past few years... today I found this article about Dolly Parton and a song she wrote at the beginning of Covid... It mentions rain and I thought it might make a good illustration of the horrific thunderstorm we witnessed the day of the Graduation...
About 11 am the sky turned dark, rainand hail pelted on the skylights, the gushing water was ankle deep by the gate when we left to go to the graduation... on the way, we encountered one of those streets they keep talking about on the news... over 6” of rain flooding the road... they say a car can float in 6” of water!!! There was a major Tornado a week before we arrived!
I used bits and pieces of several old templates by Anna Aspnes to create the layout.

Wonderful page Liz.. Love how you scanned in the newspaper article with Dolly too... your photos with the deluge of rain, how scary that must have been but what an awesome page you made here! Thank you for sharing and playing along with the June Inspiration Challenge!
(PS hope your fridge issues are resolved and you did not lose too much. We had that issue in September.. I bought a little mini fridge for the daily things and thankfully my neighbor had a box freezer that we could store our freezer items in, as it was a week before we could get a new fridge delivered. Thinking of you!)
