Cathy an I met when our daughters were in kindergarten... We have been best friends ever since... Sadly she was overtaken by Dementia a couple of years ago... It has progressed quickly.. so sad to see a bright, smart, intelligent woman reduced to not even recognizing her children...So glad I got to see her summer a year ago while she still somwhat remembered me. Her daughter sent me this photo recently...

Aw, what a lovely tribute to a best friend. So heartbreaking that dementia has overtaken her. Love the embellishing and the brushwork in the background.
