Journaling:
As a child I would go to the local high school football games with my parents. My favorite part of the game was the half-time show put on by the marching bands. My school was known for having an all-brass marching band. The band members that played woodwind instruments in concert band learned a brass instrument for marching season. The music was loud enough that even the houses near the football field could hear it! The band members also memorized all music and were constantly marching while playing. The last song was the only one where they stood in place. The majorettes were the focus. In those days, there was no color guard. As I got older, I wanted to be in the band. I chose to play the clarinet in concert band. Then when I was in marching band I played the alto sax my first year and baritone the remaining years. I loved every minute of it and cherish the memories of my days in marching band. These photos are from band camp my senior year. The senior members of the band are marching the 2 shows we learned that week. I'm in there somewhere!
love that waving banner flag with your title wordart - love that you have these photos to add to your memory page - being 'in there somewhere' is seriously the best you can get with throwback photos sometimes!
