Location items included: 1 globe, 1 compass direction circle, 1 compass brad, 1 paper strip of arrows, 1 Illinois cut-out, 1 Wisconsin cut-out, 1 geotag with heart, 1 wooden house marker. I’ve also blended in a map of the area, but obviously that was found off the web... 181 words.
Lovely layout but, of course, I most enjoyed your journaling about where you live. I think the next time we are through that way you will have to give us a tour. Those limestone houses in the village sound interesting.
@flowersgal It's funny, I did some "googling" about Rockton this a.m. Neither one of us knew that there was a historical district or that it was on the National Register of Historic Places. LOL. We knew that there were MANY old limestone homes/buildings in the area. I guess we'll need to get more info on them. Stephen Mack's old homestead and trading post is in the forest preserve/golf course just down the road from us.
Absolutely wonderful, Marilyn! It sounds divine to be among the trees and with waterways nearby to explore! A lot of history nearby too! The way you blended in the map was fantastic. Thank you for joining in my challenge!
